AirPAY and hands-on shopping experiences

Jalan Research Center was founded in 2005 to conduct surveys and research on domestic travel and local tourism. The Center’s goal is to discover new methods for promoting Japanese tourism and boosting regional development. Since 2018, the Center has focused its efforts on attracting consumerism in Yamanashi Prefecture’s Fujiyoshida City. The Jalan Research Center and Fujiyoshida City’s residents hope to revitalize the city by appealing to modern shoppers with cashless payment systems called AirPAY and hands-on shopping experiences.
